Over €10 million to be invested in St Paul’s College

St Paul’s College is very proud to be part of the Vincentian Family and to be a Vincentian school. As Trustees, the Vincentians are committed to the education of your sons. As part of this commitment the Vincentians in 2017 established the St Paul’s College Trust to enable the funding of capital investment in the College in the coming years and decades.

The Trustees of the St Paul’s College Trust have recently sanctioned several capital projects which will upgrade the fabric of the College. These include a further upgrade of the IT infrastructure of the College which will support the installation of touchscreen facilities in each classroom, the resurfacing of the courtyard by installing artificial grass and the redesign of the front foyer. In total this represents an investment of approximately €300,000.

The Vincentians are separately also funding the construction of a new sports hall. The design stage is nearly complete and it is expected that the planning application for the hall will be submitted before the end of the year.

In tandem with the investment from the Vincentians, the Department of Education is funding a major expansion of the College. This will consist of a new practial block as well as special educational needs classrooms and associated facilities. It is expected that planning permission for this major expansion will be lodged by year end.

In conjunction with these projects the Department is also funding the replacment and insulation of the roof of the newer part of the building as part of the summer works project.

All of these improvements will enhance the learning environment for the whole school community in St Paul’s.  In total these works represent a capital investment of over €10 million in the College over the coming years.

We thank the Vincentians and the St Paul’s College Trust for their ongoing commitment to the College.
