Welcome to St Paul’s Parents Association

The Parents’ Association are involved in many aspects of school life and we are here for the benefit of you as parents and your son as he develops from a pre teen into an adult.

Some of the roles of the parents association

  • Liaising with school management on expectations of parents/guardians as it relates to the education of their children
  • Fundraising to help cover day to day costs
  • Ongoing development within the College, to provide a range of facilities for your son, which are not funded by Department of Education.
  • Two representatives from the parents association hold positions on the Board of Management
  • Monthly meetings to keep in touch with the school and the staff and to discuss any issues relevant to the Parents Association
  • Discuss issues that have been raised to the parents association with regard to their sons educational, pastoral and developmental needs

The Parents Association is involved in a number of fundraisers throughout the year , this enables us to support the school through replacement of equipment and sponsoring special days.

We welcome any new parent to the school and would encourage them to become involved with our association in order for both parents and son to get the best out of their time in Saint Paul’s

If you are available to help at any event please contact us at

If you are a past pupil we would love to hear your experiences of the college and would welcome any involvement small or large.

We welcome any assistance that parents can offer the Association on either a formal or informal basis. The committee meets at 8pm on the first Wednesday of every month during the school year.

Our next meeting is Wednesday 4th March 2019 at 8pm

Current News

Careers Night  – Wednesday 20th March from 7pm – 9pm

The Parents Association will host the first ever careers evening on Wednesday 20th March from 7pm – 9pm.

This event is aimed at Transition Year, 5th and 6th year students only.

The PA conducted a survey with the students in conjunction with the school to establish their areas of interest in relation to further progression into

Education/apprenticeship or a specific career.

We will bring together on this night as many professionals as possible to chat with the students in an informal setting. They will discuss what the particular career entails and answer any questions the students may have.

We are still trying to fill some slots in the areas of interest they expressed.

If you are available to chat with the boys about your particular profession we would be delighted to hear from you.

All the events we deliver raise funds that are spent on essential items of class equipment/educational programmes/ sports equipment/  white good etc. that the school otherwise would not be able to purchase. In the last few years we have supported buying and sponsoring:

  • New Electronic Sign at the main entrance
  • Flooring in the Study Hall
  • Donations to various extra curriculum activities
  • New Sport uniform for Basketball
  • Donations to improve school technology & communication

We support any project or initiative that benefits the boys.

Our latest project, and one that we know you will be delighted to hear about, is building an outdoor canopy area that all the boys can use in all weathers to have their lunch, read, relax and just hang out.

Watch this space we will keep you posted.
