Parents’ Association
St. Paul’s College is fortunate to have a very active Parents’ Association whose objectives include: Fostering of good relations between parents/guardians, teachers, students and school authorities; Liaising with school management on expectations of parents/guardians as it relates to the education of their children; Fundraising to help cover day to day costs, and ongoing development within the College, to provide a range of facilities for your son, which are not funded by the Department of Education.
Members of the Parents’ Association are involved in many aspects of school life. They are on the Board of Management, the Career Support Group, work with the Student Council, assist in policy-making Committees, assist with Open Day, as well as organise social and fundraising activities.
We welcome any assistance that parents/guardians can offer the Association on either a formal or informal basis. Our Committee meetings are held in the College at 8pm on the first Wednesday of every month during the school year. If you are available to help at any event please let us know in advance or even on the day/night in question.
The association can be contacted via email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Fundraising: During the school year ending 30th June 2009 the Parents Association funded the purchase of two White Boards, tables and chairs to the sum of €8,980, as well as funding the 6th year Students Graduation, Art Prizes for the College Art exposition and engaging a guest speaker at the AGM.
School year 2009/2010:
We have held two fundraising drives so far and both have been highly successful. The Table Quiz in October 2009 had a great turnout and we appreciate the support shown by the Parents, Teachers and Past pupils. We are currently preparing a priority list of projects which will benefit from the proceeds raised.
Christmas Eve bag-packing and College Choir at Nolan’s Supermarket was very successful with in excess of EUR 2,500 raised which will fund the Vincentian Ethiopian Project. A very big THANK YOU to all the parents and in particular the boys who were fantastic, they created a wonderful atmosphere with their singing, and enthusiasm and all the customers of Nolan’s were very impressed with their bag packing skills.
